Facility
owners Alexander Outerbridge and Amy Khoo married here
in Pavones in 2000.
Alex,
from Bermuda has owned this property since 1994. He was born and
raised on the island of Bermuda, where his son Jason still resides.
Amy, from Canada,
has been living here in the "Gulfo Dulce" of southern Costa Rica since 1991.
Both her sons, Reymar, 17, and Jahza, 13, have been born and raised
here. They all relish the adventures and joys of living in nature.
Alex
teaches and practices Shotokan Karate. He was recently promoted
to 5th Dan Black Belt and has studied under Grand Master Kazumi
Tabata (8th Dan) and Chief Instructor Sensei Paget Wharton (6th Dan).
He has taught Shotokan Karate since 1976. Most of all he is a passionate surfer
and in 2002 opened "Seakings," the first surf shop in Pavones
Amy's
passion is yoga. She has been practicing yoga for 18 years. Her
disciplined training and inspiration has come through deep self
practice and continuity over the past 10 years of Ashtanga and Bikram Yoga.
She is grateful for her studies and teacher trainings with David Swenson. More
recently her studies in Anusara yoga with Noah Maze and Kenny Graham have been
playful and joyous.
