ACCOMMODATIONS IN PAVONES
Pavones has a wide range of options for accommodations. But high
rise hotels and 5 star accommodations are not found here. Integrated
into a mixture of local Costa Rican natives, fisherman and farmers,
foreign residents, surfers, families and travelers, this quiet
surf town's most popular business is "Cabinas."
Small and family run these are little motel style hostels, bed
and breakfasts and lodges offering varieties of options for visitors.

Most of these are located just outside of town and are run by English-speaking
foreign residents. Advance bookings can be made. Most of these
options require a car.
There are also numerous choices of budget accommodations located
centrally in Pavones run by "Tico" families.
Accommodations For Yoga Retreat
Cabinas La Ponderosa will be our host lodging in Pavones. One
of the most comfortable and equipped facilities available, it
is well suited for groups and families. You will be well taken
care of by three friendly capable Americans (Angela, Marshall,
and Brian) who treat guests with personal care. There are 5 rental
cabinas and one 2 bedroom house. All rooms are booked with double
occupancy (However, special requests for private rooms can be
accommodated at a separate location.)
Each cabina has a bathroom with hot water shower, out door sitting
area and either fan or air conditioning. In the main center cabina
there is a dining room where meals will be served three times
daily at flexible hours. The menu offers international and local
cuisine satisfying anyone's needs. Juices , sodas, bottled water
and beer can be purchased separately anytime. Also adjacent to
the dining room is a comfortable recreational room and lounge
for guests full with ping pong, darts, board game and satellite
TV.
The setting is tropically landscaped grounds including fruit orchards,
jungle trails, basketball court and sand volleyball court. The
beach is about 20 meters from your doorstep. You will hear the
ocean from your bed. Cabinas La Ponderosa is located about 2 miles
from Pavones' town center and is about 20 minutes walking distance
from Shooting Star Studio along a beach road. Bikes will be available
for rent. Car shuttle will also be provided for morning classes.
